ADVANCED COMBUSTION SOLUTIONS

SERVICES

Since 2020, Advanced Combustion Solutions has been committed to providing cutting edge services to our core industries. We have a good reputation with many Fortune 500 companies, supplying critical standards and safety provisioning on thousands of their ovens and furnaces. Become one of our valued customers and experience a partnership that will take your operation to new heights. We are also preparing to expand into other core industries.

YEARLY COMBUSTION SAFETY CHECKS

This service is required by NFPA 86 standards. The service includes bubble testing the blocking valves (safety-shutoff-valves), pilot solenoid valves, vent valves and ball valves, to check for their tightness. We check the accuracy of the gas pressure switches. In addition, we check all the safety interlocks to verify that all safeties are wired and functioning properly. Following the service, a detailed report for each system will be provided, showing all recommended actions.

Predictive and Preventative Maintenance

The goal of the predictive maintenance is to provide the highest level of service for Predicting Failures and Downtime based on accurate measurements and analysis of your heating system. We can upgrade this service to Preventative Maintenance where we will physically implement changes to your system to prevent failure and downtime. The goal of the preventative maintenance service is to improve reliability and effectiveness of your gas-fired operations. This service will assist your maintenance team and improve the lifespan of the system. Prepare your systems for the annual loads and limit your downtime throughout the year. Planned maintenance is definitely more efficient than reactive maintenance.
burner-tuning

BURNER TUNING

For efficient heating or burning, it is imperative that the fuel to air ratio is checked at least once a year. Gradually, combustion fans, burners and mixers accumulate dirt or soot that results in an improper fuel to air ratio. This service is essential to increase the longevity and reliability of the system.

BURNER CLEANING AND DRILLING

It is important that your system runs efficiently to minimize your gas consumption. With improper tuning you may be wasting gas. Overtime gas-fired systems struggle to meet their desired temperatures due to many different reasons. When adding or replacing components to the fuel train you are changing the fuel to air ratio. Every component has a pressure drop risk and low-pressure conditions can change it enough to keep your system from running efficiently and safely. You may notice a slow or fast rise in burner temperature, dirty combustion blower, dirty burner, or an orange flame or even carbon build-up on the ignitors. These are all signs that your system may need retuning. We have seen many maintenance teams adjust the fuel to air ratio when troubleshooting systems. Before having your system tuned you should always have the burner and combustion blower cleaned. Dirty combustion air causes restricted air flow and if cleaned after burner tuning service then additional air from the cleaning will cause too much air to the burner and again result in needing retuning.

BURNER INSPECTION

Our burner inspection service gives you details on the condition of the burner. If needed, we will clean the burner or provide a quote on replacing the existing burner depending on the condition of the burner. It is very important to have your burners inspected annually. If your burners are not being inspected annually you may risk an improper fuel to air ratio which will decrease the life of the burner or lead to unexpected failure and loss of profit.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

Are you having issues with your furnace not lighting? Contact us we will schedule a technician immediately to repair your furnace or oven as soon as possible. Our technicians are expert troubleshooters, providing effective solutions to get your burner up and running as rapidly as possible.

CUSTOM BUILT FUEL TRAIN

Gradually, the valve trains within combustion-plant equipment will rust with age, or could urgently need an upgrade to modern or new combustion parts. Our engineers specialize in designing a custom valve train to meet your system’s needs. Our systems are pre-assembled, painted and tested prior to installation. We will design and implement your valve train to meet your specific corporate needs. Our custom valve trains are designed to meet and exceed current NFPA 86 standards with cutting edge technology.

TRAINING

Advanced Combustion Solutions travels across the United States conducting NFPA compliant inspections on gas-fired ovens and furnaces in great numbers. In each case we improve and have improved the incumbent safety, reliability, efficiency and lifespan of every unit we have serviced. Our ambition is to assist, train and educate our clients to improve and maintain safety standards on all their heating systems to prevent fires or explosions. Throughout all the industries that we service, we comply fully with COVID-19 protocols as we inspect units on our customers’ property. We also limit downtime by providing Zoom meeting facilities with our technicians should our customers request this.

NIST CALIBRATION

Production requires accurate temperature and flow readings on all instruments. To maximize the quality of your production, it is important that you check the accuracy of your instruments at least once yearly. Advanced Combustion Solutions uses a Fluke 726 precise calibrator to check the accuracy of all instruments. Following the service, a detailed report will be submitted, showing all our observations of the instrument accuracy before and after the service.

EMISSIONS TESTING

Since EPA standards have become more stringent from emissions that are exhausted into the atmosphere from industrial plants across the US, we are qualified and ready to help our clients monitor dangerous emissions. We will provide solutions that help to reduce your combustibles so that you meet these EPA standards.

NFPA 86 UPGRADES

Meeting current NFPA 86 standards is mandatory. No systems are permitted to operate below standard. It is the responsibility of the engineer and contractor servicing the system to explain the NFPA 86 recommendations and their importance to all our valuable clients. Safety is our first priority. We do not service clients that will not commit to meeting current NFPA 86 standards.

CUSTOM VALVE TRAINS

Gradually, the valve trains within combustion-plant equipment will rust with age, or could urgently need an upgrade to modern or new combustion parts. Our engineers specialize in designing a custom valve train to meet your system’s needs. We not only pre-assemble a valve train, but also pressurize, leak test and pre-paint them in our shop.

TEMPERATURE UNIFORMITY SURVEY

Quality of products is a critical success factor in a manufacturing plant. Whether you are struggling to up your quality, or you need to meet CQI-9 or AMS2750 quality standards, we can certainly help you. Many variables are important to consider, when operating an oven or furnace that are critical parts of industrial size systems. We are effectively able to measure the temperature at many points inside the oven. After a professional study and analysis of your system, we can correct any issues to ensure that your oven or furnace operates within the required specifications.
